Join Professionals in the City as we embark to the orient for a taste of Vietnam. Leave the hustle and bustle of your everyday life in DC for a trip to remember. We will not only live the lavish lifestyle in Vietnam for a daily price less than what it takes to buy a decent breakfast in the states, but we will emerse ourselves in the rich culture and colorful people of Vietnam, while seeing some of the most popular landmarks in Hanoi.

Come see the influence that many cultures have left on this diverse country that is fast becoming one of the most desirable tourist destinations on the planet. Vietnam allows us to see a multitude of landscapes that make this region in Asia so enticing for tourists. From the Marble Mountains to the many islands of Halong Bay, to the vast expanses of rice paddies that lead the world in rice exports, Vietnam will leave a lasting impression of new found love for the unique and impressive culture created by its devoted people.

We will get a taste of traditional food, events, and activities in the beautiful city of Hanoi while diving deep into the everyday lifestyle that brings tourists year-round. On top of it all, the group will get the chance to see the significant architecture and meaningful temples that history and modernization has yet to engulf. Some of our highlights for this trip will be a relaxing cruise throughout Halong Bay, a Hanoi food tour that will leave your taste buds tingling, the famous Ho Chi Ming Mausoleum, the chance to purchase a Vietnamese pearl and a cooking demonstration that will teach you the basics of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Let us handle the details while you add another amazing trip to your life experience.

April 29th, Day 1: Depart Baltimore for your flight to Hanoi with a couple short layovers on the way. Arrive tomorrow evening.

April 30th, Day 2: Arrive this evening at the Hanoi International Airport. Your transfer will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel. Take the night to relax in your hotel room or head out for some night life in Hanoi. Tomorrow we start early.

May 1st, Day 3: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we head out to start exploring. Today we will visit some major historical sites in Hanoi, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Ch Minh House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison and the Temple of Literature. Home of the country’s first university, the Imperial Academy, the Temple of Literature is surrounded by stunning landscaping, boasts beautiful and inspiring shrines and is home to some of Vietnam’s typical intricate architectural designs. The plethora of halls and pavilions lend their beauty to many ceremonies and traditions throughout the year.

After lunch we will take a tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi by rickshaw with a stop at the Museum of Ethnology. Then we end our ride at Hoan Kien Lake where we will take in a traditional water puppet show at the famous Ngoc Son Temple. Here we will learn about what makes this show a time honored tradition while getting the opportunity to indulge in some classic Vietnamese cuisine. Then it is off to our hotel to either turn in or change for a late night out on the town.

May 2nd, Day 4: After an early breakfast, we will depart for Halong Bay. After a nice drive through the country we arrive at the bay for our overnight cruise. Upon boarding and getting settled, we gather for a quick briefing and welcome drink before a beautiful buffet brunch on the water as we cruise by the stunning scenery that surrounds us. We then arrive at Sung Sot Cave and head down the 100 limestone steps to explore the largest cave in Halong Bay. The stalactites and stalagmites are lit up beautifully and the cave is filled with the sounds of the many birds that live throughout the natural wonder.

After climbing up the 100 limestone steps and back onto the boat, relax on the sundeck while enjoying the bar. Get a good seat for an amazing cooking class hosted on board to get an up-close look at a seasoned Vietnamese chef preparing some classic fare. After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy the bar, spa or squid fishing off the rails.

May 3rd, Day 5: Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the bay and a relaxing and centering Tai Chi session on deck. Breakfast is served on the boat before we cruise towards the Tung Sau area to visit a pearl farm. Here you will see how the pearls are farmed and harvested to create stunning jewelry and memorable gifts. Take your chance to buy an authentic Vietnamese pearl before we head back to port.

After we hit dry land once again, we take our transfer back to the Old Quarter of Hanoi for a tasting tour. We will enjoy balut, amongst many other Vietnamese favorites leading up to Ca Cha, a grilled fish, for our main dinner entrée. We will finish off the evening with a coffee on coffee street before heading back to our hotel for the night. Relax in your accommodations or head out to experience Hanoi's nightlife. Hanoi has plenty of late night fun.

May 4th, Day 6: Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Today is yours to venture out and experience Hanoi on your own. Although we’ve done a lot, there is so much more to enjoy in this city of culture and fun.

Take off on a hike through the hilltops that surround Halong bay or rent a kayak and get some exercise on the water. Sign up for a fishing trip to try your luck catching your very own local seafood. Sign up for a seaplane tour that departs in Halong Bay and gives you another view of the amazing landscape in this majestic region. You can also take the day to casually stroll through the streets of Hanoi looking for the hidden gems that tourists don’t usually find, or head out to suburbs to get a taste of the more simple and authentic Vietnamese lifestyle. Take in all you can on this final day in Vietnam.

May 5th, Day 7: Today is departure day. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and stuff your bag with souvenirs before we take off to the airport for our flight back to the states.
