Trip to Ireland: Professionals in the City is excited to invite you to experience the best of “The Emerald Isle” and all it has to offer by joining us for a tour of Ireland! We will be visiting during the infamous week of St. Patrick’s Day and will be experiencing all of Ireland’s most popular cities, including Dublin, Galway, Killarney and Ennis. While in Ireland, we want you to have the freedom to experience your vacation on your own terms, without a strict schedule to follow. This package includes accommodations, necessary transportation, and tour and event schedules - however, you are free to choose what activities to participate in and when you want to do them. This puts you in control of your own adventure, and allows for a much more relaxing, kick-back experience than a fully planned tour.
DESTINATIONS:
Dublin
Dublin is one of Europe’s oldest cities. Dublin has it all - as well as retaining its historical and cultural charms, Dublin offers trendy bars, elegant restaurants and stylish, cosmopolitan shops and hotels. Dublin is truly a city that captures your imagination. Immerse yourself in the Georgian history. Discover how their national drinks are made at the Guinness Storehouse and the Old Jameson Distillery. Visit the Malahide Castle, including The Fry Model Railway and Tara’s Place, one of the world’s most significant Dolls Houses, or visit one of the many museums.
Galway
Galway City at the mouth of Galway Bay is both a picturesque and lively city with a wonderful avant-garde culture and a fascinating mixture of locally owned speciality shops, often featuring locally made crafts. Local handcrafts are a feature of the entire region including hand knits, pottery, glass, jewelry and woodwork. The city has many souvenirs of its medieval past and is worth taking time to explore. It has changed considerably over the last number of years and features a fascinating juxtaposition of new and ancient architecture. Experience Galway at your own pace or take advantage of the featured tour of the Connemara region, which is well known and loved by artists for its unspoiled beauty. Take part in the St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations all over Galway including the parade, or join the featured tour to the Aran Islands - Europe's easternmost point where Gaelic is the first language of its residents and is considered the foothold of Irish culture.
Killarney
Renowned for its beauty, famed for the splendour of its scenery, Killarney is one of the world's best-loved tourist spots. The surrounding landscape is without doubt the real reason for coming here. It has three spectacular lakes: Lough Leane (the Lower Lake), Muckross Lake (the Middle Lake) and the Upper Lake. Behind them loom Macgillycuddy Reeks, which have a brilliance out of all proportion to their height: rarely exceeding 3000ft, they're still the highest mountains in Ireland. Much of this wonderful scenery is contained within the Killarney National Park. On the way to Killarney we will stop at the Majestic Cliffs of Moher. There will be optional tours available, or you may simply enjoy the local scene of Killarney at your own pace.
Ennis
Ennis is the final stop in our journey. It is truly an amazing town and is often undiscovered by many visitors from abroad and other parts of Ireland. Lining its narrow, meandering streets is a astonishing variety of fantastic shopping opportunities. The town is quickly gaining a reputation for being 'the boutique capital of Ireland'. Visit one of the many art galleries or museums, or take a tour of the Knappogue Castle. In the evening you will have the option of participating in a farewell toast at the hotel bar before going out for mini pub crawl through the historic pubs of Ennis!

AIRLINE ACCOMMODATIONS:
Airfare is NOT included with this trip. You are free to book your flight on your own so that you watch the rates as they fluctuate prior to booking, pick the schedule you desire, and pay when you are ready. This option also allows you to use frequent flyer miles or discounts you may have earned in the past. Please remember to double check your itinerary before purchasing a flight to make sure you have the correct arrival and departure airport – this tour specifically requires an arrival into the Dublin International Airport and a departure from the Shannon Airport. Please keep in mind when booking your flight that most flights to Ireland require an overnight flight departing the night before your scheduled tour start date.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENT:
Single occupancy is available for an additional payment of a $399.
ROOMMATES: Price listed is based on double occupancy. If you would like us to pair you with a roommate or friends please indicate that in the comments section of your order form. We do our best to pair roommates, although there is no guarantee. If we cannot find you a roommate, you will need to upgrade to a single.
PASSPORT INFORMATION:
A valid passport will be required of all passengers (please verify that your passport will be valid three months beyond your return date to the United States). Please complete your Trip Information Form (will be e-mailed to you after registration) immediately upon receipt and return it to Professionals in the City for verification.
INSURANCE INFORMATION:
Professionals in the City strongly recommends that you purchase travel insurance to cover many personal emergency situations that might arise. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance from Travelex Insurance Services, a reputable travel insurance company with extensive 24-hour emergency assistance services. CHECK DISCOUNT:
If you make your payment other than the original $200.00 deposit by check, we will give you a $25 discount off of the price of this trip.
PAYMENT DEADLINES:
After you make your initial $200.00 deposit, the final payment of the remaining balance is due by February 1, 2010.
CANCELLATIONS: There will be no refund issued in case of a cancellation on or after February 1, 2010.
