Professionals in the City invites you to join us for a fast-paced evening of meeting new singles, enjoying great drinks, and non-stop laughter! At this Speed Dating Washington DC event, you'll enjoy speed dating but with a twist!
Here's how it works: when you arrive, you will mix, mingle and then we will seat you. Every few minutes, we will have you rotate and meet someone new. Each time you rotate, we will announce a question that you and your "date" can talk about for those few minutes. We promise that none of the questions are "What's your sign?" or "Do you come here often?" That’s just boring! During this speeddating event, boredom is not an option! We will announce a different question after each rotation. Enjoyment and excitement is the name of the game at this event!

Come join Professionals in the City and 3,000 other celebrants on December 31, 2011 for a DC New Year's Eve celebration that you will never forget. Of the hundreds of events we host each year, this is by far our most anticipated. This video will show you why:
We have planned a diverse array of things to do on New Year's Eve. These include live bands and DJs, dance lessons for couples, speed dating for singles, a live midnight countdown, karaoke, and more. When you travel through each of our culturally-themed rooms, you will get a taste of each country. From London to Jamaica, and Asia to South America, you will experience unique and legendary New Year's Eve traditions from around the world. Kick off the new year in the Kingdom of Spain nightclub with thousands of other revelers. Then, travel to Amsterdam for a late-night Red Light District comedy performances.
Our DC New Year's Eve merriment will also feature origami, a caricaturist, and a henna tattoo artist. Throughout the night, our skilled photographer will capture special moments between friends, old and new. You will talk about this gala through all of 2012.
Everyone will be wearing color-coded bracelets, so knowing who is single and who is part of a couple will be effortless at our Professionals in the City gala. There will be plenty of people to celebrate with. Partake in delicious wine and beer, as well as spirits and name-brand cocktails. Our midnight balloon drop and champagne toast will kick off the new year for you.
From 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., our DC New Year's Eve diners will enjoy herb roasted beef and stuffed turkey breast at our carving stations. At our other food stations, we will serve delicious pastas of penne primavera and farfelle, a bruschetta bar, a sundry of dips, and more. We will also offer assorted desserts. Conclude your meal with one of our various desserts.
Our New Year's Eve Dance Gala runs from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. It includes food, 8 drink tickets per person, numerous activities, a midnight ball drop, and late-night Red Light District comedy shows. We also offer a 31/2 hour non-food option that runs from 10:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. and includes 6 drink tickets per person. This gala will be held at the newly-renovated Hyatt Regency Crystal City, located at 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington, Virginia. A courtesy shuttle is provided to and from the nearby Crystal City Metro Station. There are also numerous parking garages located around the hotel.
